DISTRIBUTED INTELLIGENCE FOR ENHANCING SECURITY AND PRIVACY OF DECENTRALISED AND DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

Objective 1: To design cross-domain authentication and access control protocol for secure and privacy-enhanced data storage and sharing

Objective 2: To design and develop multi-agent and self-aware collaborative intrusion detection systems using blockchain-enabled semi-asynchronous federated learning.

Objective 3:To provide evidence based dynamic risk management and privacy aware information sharing services for a sustainable distributed and decentralized system

Di4SPDS in a Nutshell

About the project

Framework

A structured approach that the project will implement to enhance security measures for decentralized and distributed systems. It will incorporate various components such as cross-domain access control and collaborative response strategies to protect against cyber threats and manage risks effectively.

Decentralized systems

Distributed networks that aim to improve security and privacy without centralized control. The framework seeks to bolster these systems with advanced access control and intrusion detection to safeguard against cyber-attacks.

Distributed systems

Distributed systems are integral to the project’s goal, functioning across various domains to enable a cohesive defense against cyber threats. The project’s framework is designed to enhance these systems with dynamic risk management and efficient resource utilization, ensuring sustainability and robust security.

Access control

Part of a cross-domain scheme designed to improve the security of decentralized and distributed systems. It is being developed to manage and restrict system access effectively

Blockchain

It is leveraged as a foundational component to enhance security and privacy within decentralized and distributed systems. It plays a critical role in developing methods and prototypes for advanced access control, intrusion detection, and collaborative response mechanisms.

Federated learning

Federated learning is utilized in the project to enable a collaborative approach in improving intrusion detection and risk management without compromising data privacy. This technique allows for the decentralized processing of data, enhancing the system’s ability to learn and adapt
