Partner 4 : Nantes University / LS2N
The LS2N Lab (UMR CNRS 6004) at Nantes University (NU) gathers ~600 people in all the Digital Sciences. 20+ research teams address computer science and robotics challenges. The STACK research group focusing on challenges related to the management and advanced usages of Utility Computing infrastructures (i.e., Cloud, Fog, Edge, and beyond): http://stack.inria.fr. The team is interested in delivering appropriate system abstractions to operate and use the next generation of digital infrastructures where data centres, networks and IoT devices are all integrated. Making significant contributions in this area is critical for the emergence of new kinds of applications related to the digitalization of society (smart-homes, virtual reality, industrial internet, e-health, etc.).
Associate professor Kandaraj Piamrat (PI) received the Engineering degree from Polytech Grenoble in 2005. She did her exchange program at University of Texas at Austin where she obtained university honours. She has been doing her Ph.D. at INRIA Rennes during 2007–2010 and was visiting researcher at VTT Finland and NII Japan. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Technicolor (InterDigital) during 2010–2012. She was assistant professor (12-13) and associate professor(13-17 ), University of Rennes. Her research interests concern resource management in wireless and mobile networks with a focus on user experience and knowledge-based techniques. This includes intelligent analysis and management in wireless and mobile networks using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques such as approaches based on supervised /semi-supervised /non-supervised and federated learning.
